Zomato launches priority delivery for COVID emergencies
Zomato has rolled out a ‘priority delivery for COVID emergencies' feature on its app.
The COVID-19 cases have been increasing day by day in the country. Keeping in view of the ongoing pandemic, the food delivery app, Zomato has rolled out a priority delivery feature on its app that will let the users check out food orders meant for COVID-19 related emergencies.
The new feature is available on Apple and Andriod devices. These orders will also get dedicated customer support. These emergency orders will be contactless, which means they’ll be prepaid, and deliveries will be contactless. This feature will be prioritized in the line for speedy delivery as Zomato will allocate the ‘fastest rider’ based on location and path.
These orders will be marked as “COVID-19 emergency.” This step has been taken for the people who are trapped in their homes in order to contain the spread of the deadly virus. Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal took to Twitter on Wednesday night to announce the latest feature. In his series of tweets, he explained how the feature will function and also requested people to not misuse the feature.
