The Taiwanese company Asus, has announced a gaming Academy in India for gamers. Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced “India’s first Virtual Academy program for gamers”. They will be identifying PC gamers through a screening process. They will provide them with a platform to enhance their gaming skills. Thus preparing them for competitive esports tournaments on National and International Levels.

Arnold Su, Business Head, Consumer and Gaming PC, System Business Group, ASUS India said, “This initiative will provide a huge boost in establishing a pool of credible esports players in India and pave the way for next-generation gamers with access to resources, mentorship, and training.

ROG Academy will have a year-long programme which is divided into four quarterly sessions. The programme will focus on esports games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The participants will be trained in activities ranging from theory to coach mentorship and teamwork. The players will also be trained on higher-level concepts and strategies used in competitive gaming.

Here are all the details you need to know to be part of the Academy:

1.The registration will begin from February 1 up to February 10. T

2. Any gamer of age 16 and above can register.

3. The Players between the age of 16 and 18 will be asked to provide a consent letter from their parents.

4. The registration process will have participants to undergo a screening process.

5. The shortlisted candidates will be next placed in mixed teams depending on their roles.

6. After further screening 20 candidates will be shortlisted and divided into four squads.

7. The final six players from the four squads will receiveRs 15,000 as a stipend during the three month period.

8. They will later gain admittance in the ROG Academy and gain further training from professional esports players and coaches.

9. The company will provide Rs 1,00,000 as a prize to all the final 6 players, once they will complete their 3-month training successfully.
