Dangal co-stars Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra who happen to be real-life best friends celebrated Eid together on Wednesday. Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao were also present and appeared to be the hosts of the evening. The director of the film Dangal, Nitesh Tiwari was also there with his wife and Bareilly ki Barfi director Ashwini Iyer.

While Fatima was dressed in a pastel pink saree with a neatly-tied braid, Sanya Malhotra was dressed in a pink-coloured traditional outfit.
Aamir wasn’t seen in many pictures but he didn’t forget to wish his fans on the micro-blogging site Twitter. “Wishing everyone a very happy Eid. Eid Mubarak,” he tweeted.
Eid al-Adha, also known as ‘Sacrifice Feast’ and ‘Bakri Eid’, honours the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son, as an act of obedience to God’s command. Muslims sacrifice a sheep or goat and share the meat with their family, neighbours and the poor on this occasion.

Fatima will be seen alongside Aamir Khan in her next film titled Thugs of Hindostan which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif. Meanwhile, Sanya will be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj-directed Pataakha, which is a film about two sisters. It is up for a September release.
