Finally, after a number of delays, the luxury cruise from Mumbai to Goa is ready to set sail on October 12, 2018. India’s first domestic luxury cruise, Angriya, will start its sail from the Purple Gate of Mumbai’s Indira Docks at 5 pm and end its journey at Mormugao in south Goa the next day at 9am, making it a 16-hour long journey. The cruise is named after Kanhoji Angre, or Conajee Angria, the first Admiral of the Maratha Navy.
The cruise has six decks and 104 cabins for accommodation. There are a variety of options to choose from-dorms, family rooms, suites and more. It can house upto 400 people.
It costs approximately Rs 7000 for a bed in the dorm and Rs 11000 for a suite per person for a one-way ticket. It also covers the cost of three meals – evening snacks, dinner, and breakfast. Buffet meals specialising in Chinese, Continental, and Konkani cuisines will also be served. The luxury vehicle also has six bars on board.
There had been a lot of reports about the cruise and now when it’s finally ready, it won’t be wrong to say, ‘Good things take time.’ Truly, that’s how every traveller’s dream looks like.
