This many have been a response to the Jaipur police after the latter had mocked Bumrah’s no-ball in the Champions Trophy final a year ago.

In order to spread the message of maintaining safety on the roads, the Jaipur police had put up a banner which had the image of Bumrah’s no-ball in the Champions Trophy final last year – an event which turned out to be game-changing at the end.

Jaipur police had tweeted the image with the caption, “Don’t cross the line. You know it can be costly.”

Bumrah had Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman caught by wicket-keeper MS Dhoni but it eventually turned out to be no-ball and it cost the Indian team badly as the destructive left-hander went on to score a hundred-his first in ODI cricket as Pakistan ended as the winning side by a mammoth 180-run margin.

Disappointed with the actions of the Jaipur police, Bumrah had tweeted, “@traffic_jpr well done Jaipur traffic police this shows how much respect you get after giving your best for the country.

Bumrah was at his economical best with eight wickets in the four matches he played, at an average of 16 in the Asia Cup.
