Pawan Kalyan hopes honest leaders like VV Lakshminarayana will enhance the credibility of our party
Following Jana Sena Vishakhapatnam parliamentary candidate Gedela Srinubabu joined a regional Congress Party Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) on Saturday (March 16), former CBI joint director Lakshminarayana, who has joined actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena party is likely to contest from Vishakhapatnam parliamentary constituency.
The development comes after Lakshminarayana met Pawan Kalyan on Saturday night at Jana Sena party office and discussed on various issues. Following his announcement, Pawan Kalyan hoped that honest leaders like Lakshminarayana will enhance the credibility of our party.
Lakshminarayana joined Jana Sena party today at 10.30 am. Pawan told The Times of India, “ I know Lakshminarayana for the last 7-year and we met some time ago. We thought of working together in 2014 but It did not happen as Lakshminarayana got transferred to Maharashtra. This time we will work together and try to strengthen the party.”
Speaking about the alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Pawan said that his ideology is somehow similar to BSP’s supremo Mayawati and some of his friends asked to play an active role in BSP. “I was asked to lead BSP in Andhra Pradesh years ago and I was unable to accept that proposal as my brother Chiranjeevi was to start a political party at that time. Jana Sena gave that opportunity to me and I am delighted to work with a visionary like Mayawati.”
