Mahesh Bhatt confirms Alia and Ranbir are in relationship

Bollywood’s latest lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been hitting headlines ever since they stepped out as a couple for Sonam Kapoor’s wedding reception. Since then, the two have been spotted on dinner dates, attending events and meeting each other’s family members too.

Ranbir Kapoor had opened up on dating Alia in an interview but refrained from saying too much on the subject. Now, we have Alia Bhatt’s father filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt finally confirming that the two are in a relationship.

In an interview to The Telegraph, the filmmaker candidly revealed that his daughter is in a relationship with the Kapoor scion.

“Well, of course they’re in love. You don’t need to be a genius to get that!,” he was quoted as saying.

Mahesh Bhatt, who believes in giving space to his children, when asked if he he had any advice to give to his daughter, his answer was a frank denial.

Bhatt opened up on their marriage plans and said, “Whether it’s heading towards that port called ‘marriage’ — which is an institution that needs to be questioned in the second decade of the 21st century — is something for them to figure out. I’m no one to hazard a guess when that would happen or which way the relationship is going. It’s life and life needs to be lived on its own terms. Let’s wait and see what tomorrow brings for us!”

Some time ago, Rishi Kapoor had spoken about his son’s relationship with the ‘Raazi’ actress and said that both Neetu and he likes her.

Looks like Ranbir and Alia’s parents have given the couple their green signal. Now, the ball lies in their court.

So will they be the next Bollywood couple to walk down the aisle? We do hope so.
