Singer Meena Mangheshkar releases her book "Didi Aur Main" based on Lata Mangheshkar
It’s the season of the joyous occasion Navratri and on the first day of this pious festival, Meena Mangheshkar unveiled her book. Lata Mangheshkar’s sister Meena Mangheshkar Khadikar unveiled her memoir on the Melody queen. The Hindi translation “Didi Aur Main” is written by her based on the singer. The book describes the struggles of Lata Mangheshkar. The memoir is a Hindi translation of ‘Mothi Tichi Saavli’.

On Saturday, Lata Mangheshkar turned 90 and celebrated her birthday. The book is the story of the bond between the two sisters sharing their love and memories. The book was unveiled right one day after Lata Mangheshkar’s birthday.
Moreover, the book’s foreword is penned by Agneepath Actor Amitabh Bachchan. The editor of the memoir is Ambarish Mishra who is also a senior Journalist. Apart from that, the book also includes some candid pictures of the Bharat Ratna recipient who has contributed to the Hindi film industry with her melodious voice.
“The book (‘Didi aur Main’) is my gift to Didi on her 90th birthday. I have tried my best to coalesce into this book the bitter-sweet memories of the Mangeshkar family,” Meena said
Lata Mangheshkar is an Indian Playback Singer and music director. Especially in the Hindi film industry the singer has recorded songs of over a thousand films. Some of popular songs sung by her are Rangeela Re, Lag Jaa gale, Zindagi pyar ka geet, Tere bina zindagi se, Tere bina jiya jaye na, Ajib dastan hai yeh, Dil Deewana, Bahon mein chale aao.
