Riteish Deshmukh and Paresh Rawal come in support of MS Dhoni

ICC asked BCCI To get the Army Insignia badge removed from Dhoni's gloves.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has asked BCCI to get the Army Insignia or Balidaan badge removed from MS Dhoni’s wicket-keeping gloves at the World Cup. The reason given by the ICC is that it exceeds the number of logos permitted on the gloves. Claire Furlong, the ICC General Manager — Strategic Communications, told The Indian Express, “Two manufacturers’ logos are permitted on each wicket-keeping glove. No other visible logos other than the manufacturers’ logos are allowed.”

Dhoni holds the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Parachute Regiment. ICC asking the badge to be removed is followed by displeasure and disapproval by the Indians. Twitter is flooded with comments from his fans and even Bollywood celebs like Riteish Deshmukh and Paresh Rawal supported Dhoni.

Riteish Deshmukh in his tweet said that Lt. Col. @msdhoni has worn the Army insignia as a symbol of pride and it doesn’t hurt anyone’s sentiments. Here’s his tweet.

Even Paresh Rawal showed his disapproval on ICC asking to remove Dhoni’s gloves. He wrote, “BCCI should tell ICC to go to hell.” Have a look at his full tweet.
