KGF Chapter 2 to clash with RRR? Sandalwood star Yash reponds

After the splendid success of KGF: Chapter 1, which accumulated a worldwide gross of over Rs 200 crore, makers of the film are currently busy with the shooting formalities of KGF: Chapter 2. There have been rumours doing the rounds on social media that KGF 2 will clash with SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR at the box office. KGF Chapter 2 to release on THIS date? 

KGF star Yash finally reacted to KGF 2 clashing with RRR at the box office and said that they are not stupid. He went on and revealed that they are in constant touch with the RRR team. In an interview, Yash also confirmed that RRR and KGF 2 will not be released together.

In an interview with IBTimes, Yash said,  “We are not stupid. People here are not nitwits. We are in constant touch with the RRR team. They had informed us in advance when they had plans to release their movie in April and asked us to change our plans if we wanted KGF 2 to release around the same time.”

“In fact, they had also enquired about our plans. They had informed us about RRR was being pushed to July. Basically, both the projects are pan-Indian movies. Both the films are being distributed by Anil Tadani in Hindi. So, when RRR was rescheduled to Sankranthi, we were informed well in advance about the change in plans,” he added.

When the Sandalwood superstar was asked to react to the rumours, he stated that no, RRR and KGF 2 will not be released at the same time. “We read and laugh it off upon coming across such stories,” the Rocky Bhai added.

However, Yash refused to divulge any detail about KGF 2 release date. The Rocky Bhai said that the film will release 2020 and they would announce the date at the appropriate time.

In KGF 2, Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt is playing the role of antagonist Adheera, ravishing beauty Raveena Tandon will be seen in a pivotal role.
