Chhapaak Trailer: Acid Attack Survivor Rangoli Chandel Praises Deepika Padukone and Meghna Gulzar

The trailer of Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak is finally out. The movie Chhapaak is based on the life of an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Deepika Padukone is playing the role of an acid survivor named Malti.

Bollywood celebrities, as well as Twitterati, have been appreciating Deepika Padukone for her briliiant transformation. Amongst them, actor Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel, who is also an acid attack survivor, also praised the Chhapaak trailer.

Further, continuing, “Meghna and Deepika will earn a lot of tears from this film, what my family and I went through along with the prejudice we faced was worse than death… story of an acid attack survivor need to reach this nation, praying that it works🙏”

Rangoli was attacked in Dehradun, where she was pursuing engineering. She had to undergo 54 surgeries after the guy whose proposal she refused threw one-litre acid on her face. Not only that, but she also said that her sister Kangana was physically assaulted and almost beaten to death.

Talking about Chhapaak, the movie is directed by Meghna Gulzar, produced by Fox Star Studios, Deepika Padukone, Govind Singh Sandhu, and Meghna Gulzar, written by Atika Chohan and Meghna Gulzar.

Apart from the actress, the actor Vikrant Massey will be seen as Amol who plays the role of Malti’s partner in the film The movie portrays the investigation, the court proceedings, the medical treatment, and the emotional healing.

Chhapaak is set to hit theatres on January 10, 2020.
